The non-magnetic Dallas Key can be used to safely unlock alarm signalling equipment so that fire safety maintenance contractors or other professionals can confidently work on systems without transmitting a fire alarm signal to Fire& Rescue.
Once the equipment is unlocked, users can scroll through the menu and select 'Activate Test', which lasts for either two or four hours (depending on the model) before timing out.
